3. Please introduce the exhibit items you are going to promote at the show.
Hydrogen carrier
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries is developing hydrogen carriers with the aim of commercializing them by 2030. Hydrogen carriers are equipped with eco-friendly hydrogen fuel engines or hydrogen/LNG hybrid engines, as well as carbon dioxide capture and storage systems, in order to minimize environmental pollution. In addition, wingsails, an eco-friendly power source, are applied to the top of the ship, air lubrication systems are applied to the bottom of the hull, and future propellers that increase ship propulsion are applied to the stern to realize highly efficient operation.
Ulsan Taehwa
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard's Ulsan Taehwa is the first state-of-the-art electric-powered smart passenger ship in Korea that incorporates a variety of ICT technologies, with a hull length of 89.1 meters, a width of 12.8 meters, and a capacity of 300 passengers. The Ulsan Taehwa is equipped with an LNG dual-fuel engine system and a variable-speed DC Grid-based electric propulsion system, which maximizes energy efficiency. It is also equipped with core ICT technologies, including an intelligent integrated control system that effectively links electric propulsion and various control systems, as well as a smart solution to support ship docking guidance, along with remote control capabilities.
HD Hyundai also exhibits various mock-ups including FSRU converted from LNG carrier, methanol dual-fuel-powered containership, autonomous navigation system, marine power accumulators, and eco-friendly engines.
