What brings you to KORMARINE 2023?

Alfa Laval provides solutions and services that support decarbonization, energy savings and environmental compliance. The purpose is to present Alfa Laval's latest products and solutions of marine sustainability to customers visiting Kormarine exhibition.

Furthermore, we want to introduce Alfa Laval, which supports customers to meet the compliance with marine regulations and the transition to new fuels and technologies.

3. Please introduce the exhibit items you are going to promote at the show.

#1. StormGeo StormGeo, part of Alfa Laval, is a global leader in providing weather information and decision support services. With optimal route services for ocean-going vessels, marine weather services, and related solutions, StormGeo helps customers manage risk, optimize performance, reduce costs, and increase profits.

#2. Oceanbird, a joint venture between Wallenius and Alfa Laval, relies on wind sails as its main energy source. It has much in common with an airplane wing and is introduced as Alfa Laval's marine sustainability solution.

#3. OceanGlide is a unique air lubrication solution with fluidic technology. It creates an even and controllable air layer across the entire flat bottom of the vessel, which is the best setup for reducing friction between the hull and the water. The proven reduction in drag means greater energy efficiency, lower fuel costs and less CO2 emitted into the atmosphere. Along with reduced marine noise, these factors make OceanGlide an important step towards more sustainable shipping.

#4. E-PowerPack, a game changer for sustainability in the maritime industry, is a device that generates electricity using waste heat from ships, saving fuel and reducing carbon emissions to help comply with relevant regulations.
